Dr. Kelsey Jung - Veterinarian

${name}

Dr. Kelsey Jung (pronounced "young") graduated with honors from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and stayed in Northern Colorado to complete her doctorate training.

She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2018.

Following graduation, Dr. Jung traveled to the Chicago area where she completed a year-long internship in small animal medicine and surgery. At Veterinary Specialty Center, she rotated through multiple different services to gain experience in cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, dermatology, oncology, emergency and critical care. Dr. Jung enjoyed the challenge and fast pace of emergency medicine and spent 2 additional years there as an emergency clinician. She became Fear Free Certified to help decrease patient anxiety during their visit to the emergency room. Missing long term patient care and building the client-patient-veterinarian relationship, Dr. Jung transitioned to general practice.

In 2022, Dr. Jung made the move back to her home state (Go Broncos!) and joined Animal Care Center of Castle Pines. She continues to practice Fear Free medicine and has special interests in feline care, internal medicine, and pain management. She understands the importance of client education and building a partnership between herself and the pet parents to create the best medical plan.

Outside of work, Dr. Jung enjoys backpacking and hiking with her husband and goofball labrador. She also loves to work on puzzles, read, and snuggle by the fireplace with her cat.
