
Dr. Brooke Yules James attended Cornell University School of Agriculture and Life Sciences, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
She then advanced to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1999. During veterinary school, Dr. Brooke was able to explore multiple fields as an active member of many student chapters of national organizations.
She participated in the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Government Relations Division of the AVMA, Tufts University Pet Loss Support Hotline, and Tufts Vet School’s youth outreach programs. She became enamored with Colorado while doing externships at the Littleton Large Animal Clinic and Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine during her last year of veterinary school.
Dr. Brooke moved out west after graduation and began her career in Aurora at a mixed animal practice before shifting her focus to the south side of Denver and founding her own clinic with Dr. Shawn Wayment in Castle Rock.
